Plymouth Sound works to operate within all of the conditions of its licence and the Code and welcomes comments about its output from listeners and advertisers.

Plymouth Sound broadcasts to Plymouth and the surrounding area on 97FM, 96.6FM in Tavistock, online at plymouthsound.co.uk and on the DAB Digital Radio multiplex.

News Bulletin schedule - details of when bulletins appear on Plymouth Sound
Plymouth Sound broadcasts news bulletins on the hour between 0600 and 1900 on weekdays. These bulletins contain a full mix of local, national and world stories, along with sport, weather and entertainment news.
At the weekend, bulletins containing local, national and world news are broadcast on Plymouth Sound between 0700 and 1300.
Additional national bulletins are broadcast from 2200 through until 0500 seven days a week. During breakfast hours (Mon - Fri 0600 – 0900) we also broadcast news headlines at ½ past the hour.
Programme Automation
One hour a day (Monday - Friday) of Plymouth Sound's normal output is automated.
Local Programming
Plymouth Sound's weekday daytime output (0600-1000 & 1300 - 1900) and weekends (0800-1200 Saturday & Sunday) is produced and presented from our studios in Earls Acre, Plymouth.
Off peak programming (Phillipa Collins, Kevin Hughes, Cat James, Party Friday, Party Saturday, Hit40UK) is produced at various studios, owned and operated by Plymouth Sound's parent company GCap Media PLC and broadcast on other stations within the group.

Events / Charities support
Plymouth Sound operates its own registered charity, the Plymouth Sound Unite. It is tasked with raising money to help improve the lives of people within the Plymouth Sound broadcast area.
We also broadcast Plymouth Sound Action every day, which provides free publicity to charitable or non profit-making local events and organisations.
